Die Aborigines nennen es Walkabout, in dem eine Person eine Wanderung im "Bush" macht waehrend der Zeit des Erwachsenwerden- eine selbst zu einem selbst: "a short period of wandering bush life engaged in by an Australian aborigine as an occasional interruption of regular work", a "spiritual journey" .
Mein " Walkabout" wurde eine intensive Wanderung fuer 3 Tage und 3 Naechte in der australischen Wueste entlang dem beruehmten Larapintatrail entlang der West MacDonald Ranges. Es wurde zu einem ganz besonderen Erlebnis durch die voellig Abgeschiedenheit dieser Gegend und einmal wirklich fuer mich alleine zu sein und keinen Menschen waehrend dieser Zeit zu begegenen. Die einzigen Begeleiter waren die laestigen "sticky flies" die ueberall auf der Haut kleben und die Spinnen "Orb - spiders", die den Weg mit ihren riesigen Spinnennetze versperren. NAtuerlich war ich auf die kalten Wuestennaechte vorbereitet mit Haube, warmen Schlafsack und heisse Suppen - aber dass es in der nacht nur von 42 Grad auf 30 Grad abkuehlt waren diese kuscheligen "Warm - halter" nict notwendig. Ich muss ehrlich gestehen: "mir war noch nie sooo heiss in meinem ganzen Leben!" - da half nur 10 Liter Wasser am Tag zu trinken.
Der Weg var 65 km lang an den ersten drei Abschnitte des Larapinta trails durch Steppe, rote Felswaende, ausgetrocknete Flusse, Schluchten und Eucalyptuswaelder - so abwechslungsreich kann die Wueste sein - wie auch mein Leben zur Zeit verlaueft!

Heiliges Land der Aborigines - the dreampath enlang dem Kamm der "Euro" (Kangeroo Kamm).
Mein Rucksack - mein Hab und Gut - viel zu schwer!!Diese Wanderung wurde zur intensivsten Erfahrung fuer mich auf der gesamten Reise - ich habs geschafft und es war hart aber unvergesslich!
